Dear Friends & Neighbors,
It has been a pleasure and privilege to serve as your city Council Member these last fifteen months. After careful consideration and with overwhelming support from the community, I have submitted and qualified for re-election for Clermont City Council Seat 1. I will now officially be on
the ballot for November 5th . As your current City Council Member, I’ve always maintained a steadfast common-sense approach to
governance. My platform hasn’t changed much from before and that is to be a good steward of the people’s money by being fiscally responsible. I have not voted for a millage increase on property taxes in my first term nor will I in the future. Safety first, by ensuring that the Police and
Fire Departments have the necessary tools, resources, and training to ensure our community is safe when called upon by our citizens. Balanced growth, I have directed the City Manager, Department Heads, and staff to ensure our city’s infrastructure keeps up with the growth without
burdening the taxpayer and future generations. Because of these beliefs and as a small business advocate, the business community continues to flourish and grow which enhances the economic vitality of our downtown and beyond.
I am proud of the City of Clermont’s accomplishments and the improvements made while remaining fiscally conservative. Some of our accomplishments include,
Balancing the city’s budget and continuing to work on ways to decrease the long-term debt.
Increased impact fees to properly fund infrastructure costs.
Supported funding for a new Fire Department and equipment while saving the taxpayers $700k through negotiations.
Supported new Police vehicles that are more cost effective than previous models.
Supported purchasing new weapons for our patrol and school resource officers to combat any threat in our community and schools.
Expansion of our cemetery to accommodate the city’s growth.
Supported the vision and downtown master plan projects to encourage economic prosperity and improved quality of life.
I have always been a voice for the people and if re-elected will continue because I do not have a personal agenda and I am not influenced by special interest groups. My duty as a veteran was to my country and now my duty is to the people of Clermont. Now that I’m on the ballot for this
November, the campaigning begins. I would appreciate your continued support through donations, volunteering, or simply sharing with your friends and neighbors. I look forward to continuing to serve you.
